MISSION MINISTRY
At Calvary Baptist Church, our Missions Ministry exists to share the love of Christ by meeting practical needs in our community and beyond. Through service projects, outreach efforts, and acts of compassion, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need encouragement, help, and hope.
Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, teach them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20
Local Outreach Ministries

Love Wayne is a community outreach effort focused on serving people right here in Wayne County, Georgia. Volunteers from our church partner together to help meet practical needs in our local community. Projects may include assisting with home repairs, yard work, cleaning, and other acts of service for individuals and families who need a helping hand. Our goal is simple—to show the love of Christ through service.
Our Cancer Care Ministry exists to support individuals and families who are walking through the difficult journey of cancer. This ministry provides encouragement, prayer, and practical support during treatment and recovery. Whether through care packages, meals, or simply walking alongside someone in prayer, we want those facing cancer to know they are not alone.
Through our Build-A-Bed Ministry, volunteers work together to build and deliver beds for children who do not have a proper place to sleep. Many children in our community sleep on couches, floors, or shared spaces. By building and delivering beds, we help provide comfort, dignity, and a safe place for children to rest.
Mr. Potato Head shows how every person has a unique part to play in missions.
Mobilize to Magnify from Wayne to the World
The Mobilize Team of Calvary Baptist Church exists to glorify Christ by equipping and sending believers to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of all nations. Grounded in God's Word and guided by the Spirit, we preach, teach, and reach so that every person may hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

How You Can Help
The Missions Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church provides many opportunities for our church family and community to serve others. Whether through volunteering, giving, or praying, there are many ways you can make a difference.
Pray
Prayer is one of the most powerful ways you can support these ministries.
For example, our Women’s Ministry prepares prayer blankets for cancer patients. Members and visitors are invited to tie a knot in the blanket while saying a prayer for the person who will receive it. Each knot represents a prayer and a reminder that they are surrounded by love, encouragement, and the presence of God.

Volunteer
Many of our mission projects rely on volunteers who are willing to give their time and talents. Opportunities include helping with community service projects through Love Wayne, assisting with the Build-A-Bed Ministry, or serving during Wrap Wayne, where volunteers set up in front of Walmart during the Christmas season to wrap gifts for shoppers. While helping with gift wrapping, volunteers share the love of Christ by offering friendly conversation, encouragement, and opportunities to share the Gospel.
Donate
Donations help make these ministries possible. One example is our Build-A-Bed Project for needy children, which collects gallon-sized white vinegar used in the bed-building process. Other ministries may also have specific needs throughout the year.
Share the Love
You can also help by spreading the word about these ministries. Invite others to volunteer, pray, or participate as we work together to serve the people of Wayne County and show the love of Christ in practical ways.
